Abstract
In the article, referring to the main assumptions of cultural linguistics, I address the problem of “exploding” the stable linguistic pattern of the world image by ubiquitous media texts. Hence, in my opinion, today we can talk about the functioning of a multimodal image of the world. An example of this phenomenon is the work of collective memory, which I discussed on the example of feature films showing the times of the Polish People’s Republic.
