Studia Linguistica is a forum for research papers on various phenomena and issues revolving around the Polish language, both from the synchronous and diachronic perspectives. We are interested in texts whose research problems are embedded in the following branches of linguistics: pragmalinguistics, cognitivism, sociolinguistics, ethnolinguistics, dialectology, stylistics, onomastics, semantics, translation studies, didactics or media linguistics. In an effort to publish in Studia Linguistica the manuscript has to emphasise its linguistic profile. We accept studies that research the Polish language itself and/or use Polish as their point of reference.
The annual is addressed primarily to linguist-researchers, both from Poland and abroad, and to those generally interested in humanities.
We publish manuscripts predominantly in Polish and English, but in some cases, if justified, we will also accept texts written in Slavic languages and other Conference languages.
The Editorial Team has decided to add the following provisions (effective volume 19 onwards):
- texts that deal with languages other than Polish (without any substantial reference to the Polish language) will not be accepted;
- an Author (with or without co-authors) can submit only one manuscript every two years.
Journal provided for by the "Support for scientific journals" program (2019-2020). Points granted by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education: 70 pts.
